The Duke
Duke Street, off Grafton Street.

A nice pub. Two floors and plenty of room. Good for meeting friends when you want to chat without shouting and spitting at each other. Great place for a midweek date as you'll always get a seat and there'll be few other women for you look at and distract you.

  RATING COMMENTS
Buzz Not the liveliest place in the world even at weekends - except after work on Friday. Solid, straightforward sort of pub. You talk, you drink.
Decor Lots of wood, stools and corners. They've spent money recently doing it up and have done a good job, but it still doesn't give it a decent atmosphere.
Scoring Not much happening here, but you can try.
Babes + Hunks Can be good for the Friday evening post work crowd, when it gets very busy with secretaries, brokers and insurance people from the offices in Dawson Street.
Beer Standards Used to be good (should have gotten four beers) but has slipped recently. Some specially imported beers which is nice.
And the toilets? Probably one of the best in Dublin and always smell so nice
Overall Great place to meet people or a date for a few quiet drinks.
