O'Dwyer's of Mount Street
Upper Mount Street, just up from Merrion Square and Hollis Street Hospital

This is where the O'Dwyer Brothers empire started many years ago. There has been some changes recently to the set up in O'Dwyers. It has three levels, the main bar on the ground floor, a nightclub upstairs and a band downstairs (from midnight). You can pay £5 (after 10 or 11pm) to get in or go to the main bar earlier and stay for the night. They also have more of an open policy for hen parties it seems (not sure about stags though).

  RATING COMMENTS
Buzz four beers Always a lively enough spot, especially at weekends. It is however a bit out of the way from the central area of Dublin. Nice mixed crowd of locals and people from outside Dublin. Can be 'mature' though.
Decor three beers Bit dark with loads of wood. Not too many seats in the bar area or anywhere else for that matter.
Scoring four beers A nice mix of women available here. There's a more relaxed air about this place which makes it relatively easier to talk to women.
Babes + Hunks two beers Yes, there are good looking women in O'Dwyer's. The age group can go form early 20's to late 30's so your choice is up to you
Beer Standards one beer Up to the usual O'Dwyer Brothers standard. Not great.
And the toilets? three beers Plenty of room and relatively clean.
Overall three beers Having the variety of "three bars in one" is a plus as you can move around to your own taste. The crowd is respectable and but maybe a bit old for some.
